How Can I Make a Difference in the Lives of New York City Children and Teens?

Adopt a School	$25,000

Provide:

	Significant, measurable reading gains resulting from 45 hours of one-on-one reading instruction to approximately 30 at-risk kindergarten through first grade students in READ’s School Year Reading Program.

	Career and college preparation for 40 teen tutors.

	45 hours of one-on-one reading instruction to approximately 30 kindergarten and first grade students in READ’s Summer Reading Program.

	Paid summer jobs for 15 teen tutors who achieve their positions based upon exemplary service as volunteer tutors in READ’s School Year Reading Program.


Sponsor a Summer Reading Program	$10,000

Helps provide an inner-city school the ability to offer READ’s summer program to their students who struggle with learning to read.


Sponsor 3 at-risk readers for a full-year of READ	$7,500

Provides 180 hours of instruction, including 82.5 hours of one-on-one tutoring, to each of 3 struggling readers.


Sponsor 5 Teen Tutors in READ’s Summer Reading Program	$5,000

Provides 5 deserving teen tutors with paid summer jobs.


Adopt – a – Pair for a full year of READ	$3,750

Provides 180 hours of instruction including 82.5 hours of one-on-one tutoring for an at-risk child & provides a deserving teen with training, a community service opportunity, and a paid summer job.


Sponsor a Struggling Reader for a READ School Year and Summer Reading Program	$2,500

Provides 180 hours of instruction including 82.5 hours of one-on-one tutoring.


Sponsor a Struggling Reader for a Summer of READ	$1,500

Provides 88 hours of instruction including 37.5 hours of one-on-one tutoring.

Create a READ library	$500

Provides a set of curriculum materials for a school participating in READ.

Sponsor an after school teen tutor	$250

Provides a deserving teen with training and a community service opportunity.
